The Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel (formerly named Sheraton Yankee Clipper) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida was well known for their Wreck Bar, with portholes that gave visitors an underwater view of the hotel pool. "Mermaid" shows were performed back in the late 1950's & early 1960's. Now, 40 years later, a "mermaid" finally returns to the Clipper. Aquatic dancer & performer Marina the Fire Eating Mermaid (AKA- MeduSirena) now seen cruising the waters at the Wreck Bar weekly. The choice of evening entertainment for vacations in Orlando is as diverse as the range of activities available during daylight hours with themed shows to Disney's Pleasure Island or City walk at Universal.

Another popular attraction is the Orlando Science Center and is in fact one of the largest buildings of its type allowing the visitor access to ten huge exhibition halls. If your preference is in railways then the International Trolley and Train Museum on International drive will be a pleasant surprise with 14 trains running continuously and three waterfalls in a space of about 4,000 square feet. For something a little different there's the Titanic Exhibition which tells the story of the ill fated Ocean Liner performed by a character from the ship; the displays contain some original salvaged items and at times the tour is very moving.

A quieter more relaxing time can be found within the grounds of Lake Eola Park where you can enjoy over forty three acres of wonderful parkland which includes a boating lake for the more energetic. Not all theme parks in Orlando are based purely on rides as the fantastic Seaworld will attest but if you want rides then you have the Disney resort theme parks and Universal studios too. To make the most of your Orlando vacation try to visit outside of traditional holiday periods if you want to avoid the crowds.

Enjoy a Night Out at a 1930's Style Dinner Show in Orlando

If you are in Orlando and looking for an Italian restaurant with a difference, then a night out at Capone's Dinner and Show is certain to meet your expectations and more.
