Orlando, Florida Annual Beer Festival

Beer, a product so big that it has festivals just to celebrate its brew. All around the world, brewers gather at these festivals to exchange ideas and try new brews. It is almost like a celebration of life amongst beer lovers.

The Great British Beer Festival held in the United Kingdom each year in August. In the United States, there is an annual event to celebrate beer called the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). But as we all know, the largest and most celebrated beer festival must be the Oktoberfest.

Well if you are happen to be in Orlando in November, try out something on a "smaller scale and refreshingly different. Visit the Orlando Beer Festival at Universal Studios City Walk. Except for the two days to hold this celebration of beer, this theme park, is transformed into a massive 'drinking hole' during one weekend of the year.

Over one weekend, you can sample over 125 brands of beer, whether your preference is pilsners, lagers, ales, stouts, or ciders. Apart from quenching your thirst for beer, the organizers have also made sure there's enough food to feed the pickiest eater, almost 2 tones! Breweries from all over the world gather to exchange brewing techniques and there are usually sample tastings of their wares. Alternatively, head for the restaurants along the promenade for some fine dining.

Don't worry; they've not forgotten the music as well! To top the drinking and eating, there are live band performances and entertainment throughout the two days. If the performances do not sway you, try your hand at the contests. At the end of the day, awards are given for the best brew, brewer's choice and best booth. Party the night away as closing time is 2.00 a.m.

Entrance fee to the Festival costs between US$10 and US$15 and the opening hours are from 4.00 p.m to 2.00 a.m. VIP tickets will get you a complimentary buffet and samples of craft beers. Book your tickets early to ensure guaranteed entry to this one of a kind festival.
