Florida Tourist Attractions - South Walton County Beaches - The Gulf Coast
Between Panama City Beach and Destin, skip Hwy 98 in favor of one of the most beautiful, slightly surreal, driving in Florida, the so-(aptly) called Scenic Highway 30A. The 18-mile route hugs, which cited as the Costa Smeralda, because it almost fluorescent, gem-colored water lapping of sparkling white beaches swept quartz floor over centuries from the Appalachians and bleached and polished by the surf again before washing toShore.
Derivation Scenic Highway 30A are untouched wild pack Countries, pastels and wood cottaged villages, until you end up as a skyscraper in sight. There is much more seamless integration with the natural environment as you'll find elsewhere on the coast.
South Walton County's beaches begin about 17 miles west of Panama City 18.5 miles by 9.4 miles of road connecting access to Highway 98 north and Chrostawhatchee Bay. A total of 26 miles until all the ballsCounty beaches, in general, as the Beaches of South Walton described.
The region is of 13 up for the most part re-made, some elite individual hamlets. From east to west you will find on Inlet Beach trips, at the beginning of the Scenic Highway 30A, wild rosemary-versa. Rosemary Beach, Seacrest, home to the idyllic Deer Lake State Park, the residential Seagrove Beach, the picture perfect seaside village, the town whimsically called Watercolor, centuries-old beach, Grayton Beach, with paradiseCamping; the Gulf, the highest point, Blue Mountain Beach, which attracts some artists are poses, Santa Rosa Beach and Dune Allen Beach. Scenic Highway 30A then winds along Topsial Hill Preserve State Park and ends at the Highway known as 98 (here the Emerald Coast Pkwy), where you will find the resort community of Sandestin, covers the waterfront of Baytowne Village. Miramar Beach and the Navy.
I thought it is a relatively short distance, driving a period of at least an hour-and-a-half, even if younot before, such as speed limits are low, children and stop cars and plenty of stunning views of the sea.
