Golf Orlando Golf and Country Club Timacuan
On our last full day in Florida we had the opportunity to play another beautiful golf course, this Maria is located about half an hour north of downtown Orlando in the town of Lake. Timacuan Golf and Country Club was built in 1987 and was originally designed by Ron Garl one. In 1996 the course was renovated by architect Bobby Weed today, and it's high ranking was 14 in Florida. Timacuan's Award, among others, as one of he was electedGolf for women-friendly by Golf for Women Magazine.
Bobby Weed's redesign included many elements of the course and ensure that all players have an enjoyable round of golf. Timacuan also has an extensive driving range and putting green. Par is 71 and the course plays close to 7,000 yards from the back tees. Timacuan unique features include a links style front nine and a Carolina feel complete with gorgeous pines and lakes on the back nine.
Timacuan Golf and CountryClub also has a lighted practice facility and home to the Mike Bender Golf Academy. Mike Bender is a two time North Florida PGA Teacher of the Year, and America ranked by Golf Magazine as one of the Top 100 Instructors and Golf Digest as one of 50 instructors a. While we were there, a young golf enthusiasts get a very thorough one-on-one videotaped lesson and we admired her elegant drives into the driving range.
We went through a winding roadResidential area and were greeted by large two-story Timacuan's Club House. I had the opportunity to speak to explain to Kim Shield Timacuan handles the marketing, the club has a grid full service is in the basement, and can store up to 250 people in the upstairs dining room with panoramic window, the offer views over the golf course is making it a popular destination for business and private events. The clubhouse also hosts a Sunday brunch from 11.00 bis 14.00 clockWednesday evening and buffet.
Kim has filled in some more details on this unique course. Given its location in Seminole County north of Orlando, serves primarily the residents. The area around the course is to do a lot of things, including a variety of waterfront restaurants, the Sanford Zoo, the Sanford Historical Museum and Colonial Town Park, a local development, restaurants, theaters, hotels, cinemas, shopping commercial functions all in all, a nice walking areaaround in.
We enjoyed our turn, despite the gray, the rain Timacuan has a very nice layout. The course was wonderfully friendly feel to it, and we enjoyed our chats with course staff while waiting for our car and were warmly greeted by the starter. After the hearing, we gave generously from Canada, one of our local members had its chips for practice balls and friendly atmosphere that we have a good start.
Hole No. 2 is one of the mostdifficult holes on the golf course, and I promptly made two separate donations ball into the pond. The front nine is an interesting new development that never interfered with our golf game and a couple of holes surrounded actually feature drive-through bunkers. The Carolina-style back nine had its own set of challenges, especially because the water comes into play on seven holes.
Timacuan prices are very reasonable, for June and October 2005 prices were between $ 55 and $ 65 fromNovember 1 to January 11, 2006 The prices range from $ 69 to $ 79, and are in high season from 12 January to 23 April 2006, prices between $ 85 and $ 95
