College Football - Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Virginia Tech, East Carolina and Buffalo Win Title

It was the greatest college football game of the regular season playing No. 1 and undefeated Alabama (12-0) vs. No. 2 Florida (11-1) at Georgia Dome in Atlanta for the Southeastern Conference championship and the right to play the BCS National Championship Game.

When it came to,-the Florida Gators, led by junior quarterback and last year, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow-emerged. Tebow was 0-5 in games when his Gators in the second half pulled, but he Statistics overcame this Saturday (12-6-08), by the last of his 3 touchdown passes with less than 3 minutes remaining to seal Florida's 31-20 victory.

Who, despite trailing in the second half to win Florida in the first half 17-10 and won the second half 14-10. Tebow was 14-of-22 passing for 216 yards and led his team in noise with another 57 meters. If Florida wanted to play a most, Tebow played a big role, it can happen.

The victory has> Florida other SEC title under coach Urban Meyer and his second trip in three years to the BCS National Championship Game. The Gators Ohio State for the national championship in 2006. Florida is led now face No. 4 Oklahoma for the BCS national title in Miami (FL).

Oklahoma continued its claim to Florida by dusting off No. 19 Missouri, 62-21, for the Big 12 championship face. Everything you need to know about the game is that it was 38-7 by half.

The 4Teams in contention for the BCS game in the last two weeks of the season were Alabama, Florida, Texas and Oklahoma. Everyone had a loss other than Alabama. Florida, which finally prevailed over Alabama, home to Ole Miss in its 31-30 4. Lost game of the season, and then ruining rattled off 8 wins in-a-row by large margins in Alabama run on the national title.

Oklahoma at home in Texas in their 45-35 6. Game lost, and then forwarded 6 teams before the big winof Missouri. The Sooners scored 60 points in the last 5 wins.

The Texas Longhorns won 8 straight before losing on the road to Texas Tech University, 39-33. After winning the last 3, they need Oklahoma to lose to Missouri, have a chance at a title shot.

Elsewhere, No. 12 and went undefeated Ball State (12-0) Alabama by the loss of his first game in the Mid American Conference Championship as a 7-5 Buffalo team Turner Gill took the Cardinals, 42-24, for the title. In just 3 years agoCoach Turner Gill has rejected about a Buffalo program that was one of the worst in America.

East Carolina (8-4) hung on and hung hard to beat Tulsa (10-2) in the Conference USA championship game, 27-24. Coach Skip Holtz won 3 games, including victories over Virginia Tech and West Virginia, lost 3 games and won 5 of last 6 before the game against Tulsa in the title.

Virginia Tech (8-4) went on record, the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game against No. 18 Boston College(8-4), 30-12. Not to be outdone, Southern Cal UCLA kept at bay on the road, 28-7, to win their 7th straight Pac 10 championship and 4th straight BCS bowl appearance.

In Alabama, Ball State lost their first game, were left with the No. 7 Utah 12-0 and No. 9 Boise State 12-0 in the 119 schools unbeaten Division 1-A.

In other action, it was No. 19 Pittsburgh 34-10 on the road over Connecticut, California lashed home the winless 0-12 Washington 48-7 Huskies, Navy closedArmy of 34-zip, ripped Arizona Arizona State 31-10 and No. 13 Cincinnati on the road outlasted Hawaii 29-24.

Thus, it is Florida and Oklahoma in the BCS National Championship Game, and the other 4 BCS Bowl Games will Penn State and Southern Cal in the Rose Bowl, Ohio State and Texas in the Fiesta Bowl, Utah and Alabama, see the Sugar Bowl and Cincinnati and Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl.
