Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Launch Experience

On a recent visit to the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Florida, the planned activities more on our to do list, the one was the Shuttle Launch Experience, driving simulation see you know how it feels to a blast off into space.

We had our personal belongings in a locker room (free) before arrival in line for the ride. After waiting 10 minutes, we were in a room with air conditioning, surrounded by round handrail step, where the lightsdarkened and began a pre-show presentation. With sound effects and movies were "debriefing", which passes through an astronaut into orbit to take off from. The drama was high. Manufacturers must build a good job of excitement.

After the presentation, open doors, where they lined up outside the doors of our module space. Both young and old were full of anticipation (the guy who, as much fun as the same trip). Finally it was time to board. We took our seats quicklyconsidered closely related and the steel rods on both sides of our chairs. The doors to our form tightly closed, the lights dimmed and our outdoor screen view.

The journey started and we were relaxed, as we will also take off in view of the sky with the tip of the views of the orange rocket engine. As the countdown hit the mark, we could feel and hear the explosion as we are lifted into the sky. We were shaking and vibrating in our chairs. This agitation continued for several minutes, then the tank was released, it was quiet. Very quiet and very still. The upper opening of Earth and space for exhibits.

This included the race.

I must say that I thought it would be even more dramatic than it was. In no time you go to the head and the drama ahead of the trip was better than the journey itself. I was disappointed, actually. I expected a bit 'more afraid of the effects and a strong appeal to my body to the speed at which the astronauts> Travel on takeoff, but no. Maybe I've just seen too many movies or an active imagination. We are told it is very realistic, I felt only slightly more than it really is.

The Kennedy Space Center is an all day (maybe two, depending on how long you are satisfied with every exhibition) outing. Visit kennedyspacecenter.com information.
