Our trip to SeaWorld, Orlando - a journey through a sea-winning Paradise

It has long been the world I've learned from various sources that the famous Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, SeaWorld Florida opened near the end of the second season of running around the Ohio, was a phenomenal success by all visitors . Several reviewers have attributed the great success that Disney today for Orlando tourists emerged as a hotspot for a massive number of people at the center, which would be the FloridaHolidays. And there we were, to explore the wonders of Central Florida and make the most of our winter vacation in January!

The first day in Florida was a really busy at SeaWorld in Orlando, "the theme park mecca of the world"! To put it briefly, we had a nice view of the airport in Orlando, the city in the way, the successful line of palm trees in the strip --- and finally reached the spectacular marine life in the middle of the day. What followedwas a small bundle of sweet surprises and memorable encounters with a variety of marine animals during the day! And as we explore all that we have surprised some, such as SeaWorld has established itself as a major tourist destination since its opening in 1973!

Because we have Sea World Orlando as the first destination of our journey?

Now, as the world premiere marine adventure park with 200 acres of world-class shows, rides and unforgettable animalMeetings, what can the SeaWorld in distinctive charm, is for the adventurous, like me and beat my husband! For the record more than 80 million visitors the secrets of the sea has been explored in SeaWorld, along with close animal interactions and exhilarating emotions, and it is no wonder that he was looking forward to being part of this series! In particular, there was this new state-of-the-art rides such as "Kraken" and "Journey to Atlantis" by which we turn once, pull out and guestsexplore with unprecedented thrills, we wanted to. At the same time, fantastic animal meets the sea animals, including whales, dolphins, sea lions, rays, everything was too good to resist!

The shows and trips to Sea World, Orlando:

After that trip to SeaWorld healthy, we continue to tell our friends here, if you decide to Shamu, the world's most famous killer whale meet, or immerse yourself in the splendor of the underwater circus knownOdyssea are sure to enjoy a show that is in the beautiful SeaWorld.

Whales and dolphins show ', "Blue Horizon"
What I really liked the Whale and Dolphin Show: "Blue Horizons"! The set-up was a bit 'strange, but then he started very well, with all the acrobatics and diving, with the addition of beautiful birds that show. Accompanied by a musical score, as well as trainers brought their aquatic counterparts, with the lights of the show, the dolphinTricks with the usual fair of air somersaults. Some of the spirals underwater seemed quite impressive as well and requires a concentration on both sides of the trainer and animal. I really do not know much about the opinions, but for us it was a good mix of both power animals and humans. All in all a thrilling and visually stunning.

In comparison, the seductive Shamu show not live up to the hype that surrounded him. The Shamu show with mostpopular show at SeaWorld, runs 20 minutes and shows no fewer than six times a day, had captured my imagination long ago, I stumbled upon the site of SeaWorld Orlando before plans for a trip here in January. The highlight of the performance was spectacular natural behaviors of killer whales and the unique relationships that SeaWorld trainers have with these animals. We expected the show unique is, revive the spirit of wonder. It 'began as aconvincing to demonstrate dramatically presented in a completely enhanced Shamu theater with new music, video and animal behaviors. But time was too short and soon we were ready, our hearts are on the verge of traffic sheer wonder the show was over.

However, what is absent from the show Shamu amazing sea lion show, where Clyde and Seymour take Pirate Island has been offset. This sensational show, an animal trainer you danced like Mr. Smee and his fellow sea lions dolledaround the theme of pirates. The setting was amazing with the animals is the crux of the show. The show was very entertaining and fun, with an animal to the next level of intelligence!

Penguins meet:

Then he went to the meeting fascinating Penguin, known locally as "the slice of Antarctica SeaWorld's famous! Good!, What a wonderful trip was a 120-foot long treadmill, feeling as if we landed in a frozen wonderland And theywere the favorites of rock-hopper, Gentoo and King delights us with his sweet little gestures! In addition, see that there was so much fun in the wonderful activities of the three species of birds in flight, as they jumped, slipped and fell above and below the water!

Well, the story of our trip to SeaWorld Orlando Magic would be incomplete if I did not say anything about the variety of spectacular attractions such as Kraken Challenge - which is in the realm of excitement andEcstasy. Mind it, a (Challenge Kraken), this is done only floorless roller coaster ride to Orlando where you want to give experience a fascinating journey to Atlantis water ride and part roller coaster through a party!

Having all the spectacular animal shows, rides great attractions and plenty of animals, we have found there much more to the mighty sea empire, including the Secret Lagoon Oyster and pearl diving shop (where you can discover underwater treasuresIn fine jewelry made right there), Shamu's Happy Harbor, incredibly funny, just-for-kids paradise 'with giant pink flamingos and palm trees. And while the magic from the realm of marine animals, we also had the opportunity to get a fascinating glimpse of the nightlife in Sea World, Holiday, seeing, hearing, taste and hard to the Waterfront! Yes, this is the party that defined the most vibrant cities by the sea.

At the end of the dayWhen we reached our hotel in Orlando almost out of breath after a major confrontation with the spectacular SeaWorld, I really want to day, so ill say close to all my friends and a fascinating experience, a paradise in one! If you have a family and especially children, looking for a great vacation, this is the place where you touch and feed dolphins, count the teeth of a shark and feed seals and sea lions! And if you're a lover of adventureSearch for animal attractions, where you take your family below the surface may, over the waves and your expectations of what can be more beautiful than the Seaworld?

Florida: the lost points

If you say what's on the minds of most people in Florida?

Orlando and Disney World.

But what happens when Disney, Universal and Sea World visit? There's something else to do? How about visiting some of the smaller attractions - those who are perishing in the crowd.

Lost? Where did they go?

"The Mouse" has arrived in Florida before, there were the attractions that we enjoyed Florida. Smaller, with few or no thrillRides, but high in satisfaction. Some of these attractions withered after Disney, but many of them adapted and flourished. Let's take a look at some of these survivors.

Central Florida

As you can imagine, these smaller attractions, many of the Central Florida area, an easy commute to Disney. Some of these attractions include:

Busch Gardens: My favorite of all lost everything. Easy to explore a full day, has aAfrican safari theme. From the huge roller coasters, water rides, a trip through an African savannah, there is something for everyone.

Gatorland: Gatorland I visited a million times as a child. Ok, maybe not a million, but it was a popular destination for school trips BD (before Disney). There are a lot of alligators and entertaining to watch.

Cypress Gardens: This attraction was really lost for a bit 'lost - had closed its doors, with no intentionOpening. But miracles happen because Cypress Gardens is back and better than ever! It 's more than just a garden, among other things - there are many shows and even a few times.

North Florida

There are a lot of small attractions in North Florida, and almost all live in St. Augustine. Here are some of them to your attention:

Fountain of Youth: It's more historical, is the site of the original sourceyoung people - one of the legend. If you visit, you can drink from spring water. Does it work? I have to leave for you.

Ripley's Believe It or Not: This was the first of the Ripley museums, and perhaps the best. are all sorts of oddities abound. It's fun and worth a visit.

Potter's Wax Museum: Who's who think you will be the attraction for the lost? From historical figures to people, the wax figures, a good way to spend an hour or two.

WhereSome others are?

Lost Florida attractions are all located in the Panhandle to the keys, you just know where to find them. For more information about this wonder of Florida, visit http://www.great--vacations.com Florida / Florida attractions.html

Coming from Newark, NJ to Orlando, Florida Street Niagara Falls

The day finally arrived and it was time to leave for our trip to London Gatwick airport for our long journey in the United States. We had booked an overnight stay in a hotel at the airport, so we are fresh for our trip the next day. I should note that this trip was before 9-11.

Our flight was on a flight from Newark, NJ with Virgin Atlantic and a return flight from Orlando with Virgin too. You book your rental car into two parts, both of Alamo. From the rental car is moreNew York, the first step would be costly for 7 days and then we would return the car in Orlando and take one more element for the rest of the trip.

Our planned route was to remain at the landing in Newark to stay in a Holiday Inn near the airport. Then the next day head to Niagara, where we spend two nights, then travel to Florida to stay 2 nights on the road.

We left on time from Gatwick Airport for almost 7 hours of flight. Although we haveOn the way to Florida, we had never been regularly travel to New York before and how our time would be a bit 'limited, we had not planned to visit the city on water. We arrived in the afternoon after flying quite low along the Hudson River offers a beautiful view of the skyline of New York in a very busy airport, Newark. The airport itself had undergone some major changes and was to be a bit 'confused, honestly. We finally cleared immigration and collected our luggageand that's when the rental car from Alamo, so we are waiting for the bus, was to meet us there. In fact, from where we were waiting, we could see the depot outside the airport road. The bus came and took us to the store. We had booked a one-way rental, and we knew we had to pay a drop-off fee of $ 300. The clerk tried to give us, although we booked for the rehabilitation of seven seat minivan for the four of us were talking and all of our pre-paid fees and insurance. We paidthe fee for drop-off and collection of airport charges (which are able to pay us) gave us the keys and told us where was the vehicle. Imagine our surprise when we found the vehicle was in fact an 8-seater minivan, GMC, it seems they wanted us to pay for the upgrade and even better, had Florida plates! At that time we were anxious not start Dom we have too many problems on it. We headed to our hotel to find and a short drive we arrived at the Holiday Inn.We checked in and went to our rooms to freshen up a bit 'before dinner. We would be eating in the hotel and had a few drinks first for the night.

The next morning, with our body clocks still in the British weather, we could be 5 clock, fresh and ready for our trip to Niagara Falls. It starts at 05:30 clock and decided that we would have breakfast on the road. After a while, 'a nightmare trying to get on the highway, we finally left the area of Newark. Daylight wascome and we found a Perkins, breakfast on the go. The rest of the ride was quite busy and we noticed how similar the landscape, where we lived in England. When approached Niagara Falls, probably about 30 minutes, I could see what I thought was steam from a cooling tower was in the distance. It was discovered that the waterfalls.

We decided to stay on the Canadian side of the falls and had booked two nights at the Sheraton Hotel. Once at the border, we hadto go through customs and immigration authorities, we had no problems and were in about 15 minutes. It is then at first sight that we had came from the bridge, that view was magnificent. I can only say that the photos do not do it justice. We went to our hotel and then checked in Niagara to explore. We decided to go down to the falls and it only took about 5-10 minutes. The first thing that strikes that occurred to me that the gun is on the rise so high, in fact, the followingTomorrow, when we have the hotel I thought it was raining on the left to give to know the fine drizzle, but it was actually the jet of the waterfall. The wind was blowing in our hotel. We went all the usual tourist things, where the vortices are along the River. I was surprised to see so many people armish there, I do not know if it was a holiday for them, or what, but it was certainly a lot. We would like to see more of them later in the trip through Pennsylvania. We"Maid of the Mist," the men did well, and it was spectacular. We left the boat in the direction of Horseshoe Falls, once the boat come around to feel the speed of the engine, as the master power increases until received in the area, the only thing I can describe it as something like the Arctic , It was only known from anywhere, and you will be covered in a white spray. Even with waterproof poncho, it shows the water somewhere. The larger unit, head back to the dock and the liftback again to the main road. We also have a tour that takes you behind the falls. We found the Canadian people were awesome and we felt good value for money. We never had to change our currency, as you could pay everything in U.S. dollars. One thing to remember is that you have a sales tax refund of GST for purchases in Canada. It is limited to certain things, though, so check what you claim. The second day we went to Niagara on the Lake, anice place with a little 'beautiful scenery. It is a jet boat, which for a ride on the fun here, as it can go. On a clear day you can use the CN Tower in Toronto to see in the distance. On the night we crossed back to the U.S. side to Outlet Mall, where we have great deals to visit.

The next day we checked out of our hotel and began the trip to Florida. We had some 'bet to see who is the first man, a wild palm was before, but it would be a day or two awayyet. We crossed again in the U.S. and in the direction of Buffalo, where we took the highway. After New York, was later we entered Pennsylvania, and Harrisburg, and we went through to the next state of Maryland, where our first night spent. We stayed in a motel and were on the difference between here and other places we were surprised. It 'was a Sunday and the bar closed at 10.30 clock. It seemed that her more religious than some of the other places we had stayed.

HoweverThe next day we were out to start and I must say that the landscape in Pennsylvania and Maryland was much better, and through the city with their picturesque churches and church towers PA has been very impressive with the colors of fall leaves. And 'our intention to lower the Blue Ridge Parkway and drive through the Shenandoah park points to some of the trip, so we head toward Front Royal and in no time you enter the park as you enter and pay the fee, then we see a deerAcross the street in front of us. We thought it was a taste of things to come, but believe it or not that was the only one we saw! The speed limit on winding roads is only about 20 mph so that the journey may take some time. There is always something to see where they persist and some photos. This area is in the history of civil war and there were many plaques, which resemble the lives of soldiers between the North and the South lost. A large part of the landscape that you are viewing have not changedthat much over the years and you can imagine how it is when you look at the battlefield was down. You can see how the name Blue Ridge was a blue tinge on the hills in the distance and this will be put in the trees, the "blue" is due in Blue Ridge, issued by the isoprene in the atmosphere, then the characteristic haze on The mountains and their characteristic color. There is information on the route and places to buy refreshments. Wetraveled along the track for about 3 hours and then left again and the highway and our next stop in Roanoke, Charlotte and South Carolina, where we stayed at a Howard Johnson. The girl at reception was the southern drawl we have found so beautiful. Princess Diana had not fallen long and when he saw we were from the United Kingdom, it was great difficulty in their grief, which we thought was expressed very nice.

The next day we wanted to get to Jacksonvillefor our last night in Florida to stop and visit some friends. We left early and drove south along the highway to Charleston, where we are a member of I-95. This is run from one state to another from Maine to North Miami, Florida. We passed through Savannah and it was here that I won the $ 10 for the printing of a wild palm! Soon we came in and Jacksonville in Florida was in sight. When we got there, we chose a hotel and checkeda. It used to be afternoon and we went to meet our friends. We met and we are back to their house for a while 'and arranged to meet later in Mandarin for a pub next meal. After a great evening we returned to our hotel, we had arranged to go to St. Augustine the next day. This was a great day of St. Augustine is said to be the oldest city in the USA and is steeped in history with a Spanish flavor. We took a look at the strong and did some shopping. Later in the afternoon we were will go to Orlando. We said goodbye and headed for the land of the mouse.

The temperature was always very warm and we had changed into shorts in SC, but as we approached Orlando, it was very hot. When we arrived, we decided to Florida and ordered out of the car during the trip, has been needling away from us that we had paid $ 300 for the privilege of returning a rental car in Florida! So when we went to Hire> Orlando We have complained to the secretary, went to speak with his supervisor and returned to tell us that they will refund the $ 300 and gave us a new 7-seater Dodge Grand Caravan. So that was a good result.

We had booked in advance, our Orlando resort during our stay and we have theme parks and other tourist things to do. We also set for a few days in Fort Myers, this has always been a favorite of us. We stayed at Pointe Estero condo right onBeach. I can only recommend a trip like this and I'm happy to do it again. You can see more of the country in this way.

Orlando - attractions for children and adults

Orlando, Florida, and in this city is the "summer" in the United States, known for its excellent weather conditions, infrastructure, beautiful and lush nature and well developed. Travelers from all over the world head to Orlando in search of fun. The city's name derives from the name of a soldier Orlando Reeves, the master died here during the war against the Seminole Indians.

Few people would know Orlando, when the Walt Disney World- This theme park - was not built. Therefore, we can say that the year in 1965 changed the history of the city. It 'was the year that Walter Disney, a famous American film producer, his plans began turning this abandoned land in the world of fantasy implement. The giant Disney World is an area of 113 square meters. It 's the place where children and children to immerse themselves in the magical world of fairy tales, the world, where dreams become reality. The park is divided intodifferent areas, each with its own name and its own attractions.

If you've never been here can not imagine how big the park. Overall, "Disneyland in Los Angeles, Paris, Spain and Tokyo, are only half of Orlando. But I do not think that the park was built just for kids. Apart from the children's areas, golf courses, night clubs and what not.

Each area has its attractions. For example, includes Magic Kingdom, a land of adventure, with ridessuch as Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise, a place of freedom, the Hall of Presidents and other democratic Internet. Fantasyland is the flight of Peter Pan, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the adventures of Winnie the Pooh stuffed mind. There is also a Tomorrowland with attractions such as the Starcade, Astro ORBITOR, Disneyland Railroad, and others. The names of the parks speak for themselves and describe their benefits would be too long. But one of the park onvisited the site is Disney-MGM Studios, where visitors can meet their favorite cartoon characters.

The inhabitants of the sea - from polar bears in the Arctic to the tropical waters inhabtitants - can be seen in the "Sea World" - one of the most popular parks in the United States of marine mammals. You can also stay in a hotel at Walt Disney World - the prices are slightly higher than those of Orlando (resort town located 20 miles), but each hotel is a real eye: imagineThey live in a hut in Polynesia or in a Wild West-style hotel, or even a music-themed hotel called Disney's All Star Music%.

The only downside is that there is a natural event in the area, and it takes 1.5 hours by car to the sea. But there is another attraction - Disney's Vero Beach Resort - Located in the Atlantic.

Both children and adults as Universal Studios Florida, where "the film directly in the plot" and maintainon one of its attractions, such as "Terminator 02:03 D", "The Simpsons Ride," "Revenge of the Mummy," "Animal Actors On" and many others.

These are just some of the Orlando attractions and parks. The city has, of course, numerous galleries, museums and science centers. But this is the topic for another story.

A guide to Orlando

Warning: This is the non-mouse version of the visit of Orlando, so if you have had your heart at all disappointed to learn Disney World can be a bit '. I recently spent a week in Orlando with my husband and in-laws. We rented a car and made a plan that has worked pretty well, so I'll tell you what we did with you:

Have a plan before you leave home

There is a wealth of information out there as things to do in Orlando andEnvironment according to your interests. Some suggestions are state / national / local parks for hiking / picnic / fishing / canoeing, theme parks, zoo / animal parks, and recreation such as mini golf and go-kart. Admission to some of the theme parks can be very expensive, so it's a good idea to find out where you want to go ahead of time and shows / tours, etc. They are interested in getting the most out of your day.

You can get a local guide by yourLibrary, bookstore or online. We have maps of our local CAA / AAA Auto Club so we knew the number of exit from the highway. We also bought tickets to Sea World by CAA discount, before leaving, saves $ 10 per person at the door (they have other theme park tickets and discounted).

When you look around online to see timeshare fraud offer discounted theme park tickets in exchange for real estate to go at their own pace. A good site for information is the officialOrlando Visitor Centre site www.orlandoinfo.com

Visit the Official Visitor Center when you

Visit the official visitor center only when you arrive (see address on the website above), is located on International Drive, the main tourist road. Be aware of other places, who call themselves "tourist areas", are just trying to sell tickets. The people at the officers are impartial, friendly and helpful. There are alsoCoupon books and many magazines that you pick up here. This visit will help you complete what you want to do things for you. (There are good for less than half price mini golf, if you go to watch 04:00). There were also coupons for various restaurants and shows them in various books.

Sea World

We both had an interest in this theme park, and it was worth it, because it includes the second day free with admission. All you have to do,the ticket is received before leaving the park confirmed the first day, the desk is on the left side of the door shows some of the ticket as soon as full production of a must-see. We especially liked the Shamu show, performances by dolphins and birds, and the spectacle of the sea lions. There is also a giant roller coaster called the Kraken, a roller coaster and log ride called Journey to Atlantis-style. It 's also a children's area with a place to eat (which allow you to bring your own food in thisPark) and small excursions.

Another highlight is the reception center, where the parent company Anheuser Busch makes every adult a couple of generous samples of their beers are! You can also stand Clydesdales and their Dalmatian. Shark Attack The exhibition is a must. All in all, the price is worth the whole 2 day (parking is an additional $ 10 per day, but a stone's throw of the game).

Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure

There are 2Universal Orlando parts: traditional, which shows how movies are made with some theme cruises, and more recently Islands of Adventure theme park is an all-out. Adults and children can spend all day here and full of happiness. Since I'm in the entertainment business, I would say that in reality, is back with the attractions.

If you read my article on overcoming the fear, the other day, must do two laps are the Duelling Dragonsand the Incredible Hulk. Hulk is actually one of the 10 best roller coasters in the U.S. - my husband saw on a TV show. Another has to do is ride the 3-D simulation of Spider-Man - but I did not want a simulation to me! Other devices that we have much appreciated the Jurassic Park River Adventure and Dr. Seuss Trolley Train Ride. The line up was not the day we went wrong, but if you are a busy time you have to prioritize the trips are allowed to leave the most important. Universal offers a limited number ofExpress Plus Pass, the holder, most skip the line and fit in more trips possible - can be purchased through the park.

Lake Kissimmee State Park

We spent the day with a stroll through this beautiful park, it was about 45 minutes drive from where we were to stay near Disney. And 'well-organized and the staff are very proud to work there. There are about 14 miles of trails he knew, and a couple of picnic areas. This is a loop to provide a clean look-out towerBut keep in mind that this is Florida, so really only a good look at a marshy area and a lawn ... but still a beautiful sight! I also noticed that there were many people fishing.

Central Florida Zoo

We spent a bit 'more than half a day at the zoo. This is a relatively small zoo with 400 animals and a botanical garden. It is not well developed as the other Orlando attractions, but I thinkcompared to Sea World, Busch Gardens and Disney's Animal Park, could have just not been able to compete anyway. I think this is a great zoo, if you have young children. They can be difficult to spend a whole day, so you could plan something else for this afternoon. They do not advertise, but they give you a / CAA AAA discount at the gate, if you ask.

International Drive

This is one of the tourist strip, as well asDisney and downtown Orlando. There is much to do here, and you have the opportunity to participate, on the road or tram to organize and cost of the asset and down the road. We are always happy in places that did not eat in Canada so that the Sonic Drive-through was the first time for us. We have not had time to do these things, but on this street were Wonder Works, Ripley's Believe It or Not attraction, tons of mini-golf and many, many places to eat and entertain your family. There area lot of hotels and shopping centers nearby.

Other things to do in the Orlando area who did not see Disney and its many theme parks, Busch Gardens in Tampa (which is a basic animal safari park roller coaster with some good enough), the Orlando Science Center (the most for children, but also has an IMAX theater and special exhibitions at times), many state parks and Wet N 'Wild (a popular water park).

Enjoy your holiday!

Even today this area west of I-4 is predominantly African-American and the difference in the housing and settlementServices between this area and the center is very important. In fact, the very name "Division Street" suggests a distinct historical line of demarcation between residential areas in black and white.

The origins of the fountain built museum to go to a prominent local African physician named Dr. William Monroe Wells, construction of the fountain in 1926, this hotel for African-Americans at a time of racial segregation can not be started when houses Wereavailable to them in other areas of Central Florida.

Dr. William Monroe Wells was one of Orlando 's first black physicians and came to the area in 1917. Born in Ft Gaines, Georgia,1889, Dr. Wells completed his medical training at Meharry Medical College. During part of World War II, William Monroe Wells was the only African American physician Dr. in Orlando.

During segregation, white doctors are not treating African American patients. African American doctors, therefore, deserves their money from the people of their race. He worked very hard to Orlando to the growing African American population a. With the help of his assistant, Mrs. Josie Belle JacksonDr. Wells is known for providing more than 5,000 children in Orlando.

Treated patients with pneumonia, influenza, scarlet fever and other serious illnesses before drugs like penicillin were introduced. Many of the patients of Dr. Wells' were very poor. He treated their illnesses though they often could not afford to pay his fees. This allowed them to use force against poor conditions that existed in the African American community, without losing their fear of speakingLiving.

Although African Americans were taxpayers like other residents of Orlando, They have no access to recreational facilities, good schools, police, health care and services of other citizens Know That made available. This led him to South Street Casino, and building the structure next door.

Dr. Wells booked bands and other big names in entertainment perform at the South Street Casino. Many famous artists that we know today, he played at South Street Casinowithin the Chitlin Circuit. Some examples of these performers are:

- Ray Charles
- BB King
- Louis Armstrong
- Guitar Slim
- Bo Diddley

African-Americans came from all over the Orlando area to purchase and take in performances of popular musicians at the South Street Casino. After the performance at the casino, check the artists at the historic hotel, built in Wells'. In its heyday, Wells built accommodation 'for such clients asBates wooden leg, Ella Fitzgerald, Roy Campanella, Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall. The athletes who attend the show and the structure of this one of the most popular for African Americans in the South.

Today, the museum has 6,000 square feet of exhibition space.
